Companies use AI to filter applications, and folks use AI to create them, and honestly, I didn’t in the past. I have always seen AI as a tool, like a hammer or screwdriver. AI has always had a place in my toolbox. I just didn’t realize I would need to use AI to fight for a job, so I started thinking: Is a resume writer any different? When folks use these sources, are we just adding garnishes? It makes me question humanity a little. It makes me wonder how far someone would go to bend the truth in order to get their foot in the door if AI is the deciding factor in getting you to the next step.
