Growing up on a small farm in Pennsylvania, with few luxuries (and I mean few amenities… we had to use an outhouse that was a walk and a half in the cold) has given me experiences that enabled me to tackle almost whatever life has tossed my way. We had all types of animals, such as cows, goats, horses, etc., that I helped raise. From my time on the farm, I developed an understanding and love for the simple things in life. I spent my formative years working on the farm, helping with our farm market selling baked goods and produce. I later spent several years working as a cleaning lady in private homes, transitioning to in-home health care, helping elderly and terminally ill people stay in their homes as long as possible. I decided to learn dog grooming and joined a small kennel working with dogs. Dog grooming wasn’t just going to cut it as a full-time job, so I found a career in the retail sector and was able to work from the entry-level positions to becoming a manager.
In my early 30’s, I met and married John, and after a while, we had our son, Antonio. Antonio will leave the nest soon, so we decided it was time to find the next chapter of our lives. I love to travel and see what the world offers, so we decided to head out in the world with an RV. I can’t wait to experience what else the world has in store and what is available to see. I like getting to know people and learning about their experiences. I love to laugh and enjoy being a little silly sometimes. I have a lot of hobbies that I have put aside because of a busy work schedule: camping, reading, sewing, cooking, hiking, and biking, to name a few. Hopefully, I will indulge in some of these pastimes again.
