Well… it was somewhat of a mistake. When you mix a little bit of boredom with a bit of eBay, it ends with us being delivered a truck we didn’t need. Getting the truck at a reasonable price did help me see potential in the old 2005 Chevy Silverado, but it did need a head gasket, and with it having a diesel engine, it wasn’t going to be cheap to fix. At the time, I had the drive to replace the head gasket myself, but with not having a garage, we ended up leaving that part to a shop that dealt with diesel repair. After getting the truck back, I couldn’t leave it alone and had to give it my personal touch. We have done everything from reupholstering the seats to replacing the service box with a flatbed. It’s still a work in progress but reliable and a joy to drive.
