About John...

I have never been asked “who is John G Margel”, so for me to write this, I really had to pause and think about it because, for me, it’s not something I ever really thought about. I can tell you first off, I am not a writer so don’t judge me if this ends up sounding like my obituary or a “looking for love” advertisement. I am though, an artist with a mix of a part purist, part conservative with a splash of color. My art of choice is photography and it was something that captured my attention back when I was a young kid. Later in life, I used it as a crutch as an outcry for acceptance. It was a voice that said, even though you might not like the photographer, maybe you might fall in love with the photo. I also found that having a photo can cherish the memories but can also stop you from progressing in life. Sometimes in life, I have found that not everything can be photographed and it’s best to just put down the camera and soak up what God has given us all to enjoy.

Besides being that artist, I am also passionate, considerate, and loving but I won’t sugarcoat the truth if you ask for my opinion. I am more a leader than a follower, but if I have a choice, I would rather work as a team. Driven by energy, and motivation, completing tasks is fairly easy as long as I don’t become unfocused. I’m optimistic and a lover of freedom although not much of a conversationalist. I don’t read books unless I’m out to learn something and tv, movies I’ll watch more of when I’m 90. I’m open-minded and non-judgmental but hardly ever change my mind, or should I say stubborn. I can be a friend and good listener but I can also be easily distracted by my own thoughts.  I love to see people thrive and succeed although instead of following their path, I like to carve my own. As they say, “it’s not the destination but the journey”. Adventurous is a keyword with me but cuddle is as well. I can be easily won over with a hug or a puppy but I can also sense when someone isn’t genuine. I can be opinionated but also dependable.. Being on time and punctual is important to me. I believe in being compassionate and sincere but also I can be strong-headed and bold. I pay attention to detail and I am my own worst critic. I don’t like vegetables and pot-pie makes the world a better place.

So… who am I…

In the end, I am just me… looking for answers to questions where there are none…
